Staff Training and Development information: The Directorate understands that Staff Capacity Building plays a vital role in enhancing teaching and research quality, and fostering professional development and career advancement. The University offers advancement opportunities to its Employees. The Training opportunities vary from Short to Long Courses, and the same is for Seminars, Conferences and alike. These trainings help to sharpen employee skills, strengthen work performance, create positive attitudes and self-motivation amongst Employees, and create senses of belongingness. Details of the Service Providers: SUA offers a wide range of facilities and services that support students and staff at our Campuses. In partnership with Private Companies and Firms, there are rooms to offer services in Catering, Security, Sanitation and Transportation to mention a few. Integrity Matters: As a Public institution, Integrity is part of daily living at SUA. In handling all related integrity issues, SUA has an Integrity Committee, Anti- Sexual Harassment Policy, a Gender Desk and Gender Policy (insert), a Client Service Charter (insert), and a Counseling Desk. All these well-established units facilitate the daily lives as well as the well-being of Students, Employees, Service providers and other Stakeholders.

Staff Sports, Games, Recreation and Social Affairs: SUA promotes not only professional development but also healthy living habits, personal well-being and community building among staff and other Members of the SUA Community. We encourage staff to participate in sports and games as prepared by the Sports and Games Department. SUA through the Department organizes Inter-College and Departmental Competitions for both Staff and Students, and encourages staff to participate in various Annual Public Sector National Competitions like SHIMMUTA, May Day and the VC CUP to showcase their talents, maintain healthy living and increase Institution Visibility. As part of socialization, the University Colleges/ Institutes/Centres/Departments/host Annual Social events, which bring together employees from their respective Workstations. This serves as a way to recognize and appreciate staff contributions and hard work.

Performance Management Matters: SUA is taking a proactive approach to managing employee performance through the Public Employee Performance Management Information System (abbreviated as PEPMIS). All employees are supposed to register in the Employee Self-Service Portal (Insert ESS) to access PEPMIS and other Services. The Directorate in collaboration with the ICT Directorate is committed to making sure that the system is user-friendly to employees by providing regular training for continued effective work performance and persistent awareness.

Staff Benefits & Compensation Matters: SUA motivates its employees with a wide range of benefits and incentives. Offering a variety of benefits and incentives, whether monetary or non-monetary, can be crucial for employee motivation and satisfaction.
