This Section is responsible for coordination of the PE preparations, recruitment and selection; Performance Management, administering and managing Salaries and related allowances, and all Human Resource Information in the Human Capital Management Information System (HCMIS), Human Resource Development, Disciplinary Matters, Employee Counseling and General Welfare
This Section is responsible for handling various staff claims and the Benefits of Staff. Specific duties of this Section include;- handling matters related to staff entitlements, i.e. fringe benefits, allowances, terminal benefits, and other compensations, Staff Social Security matters i.e. Pensions, Gratuities, and Health Insurance Schemes/Funds. The Section also handles matters regarding Motor Vehicle Insurance/ Licenses, Motor Vehicle /Staff Accident claims, Staff Leaves, and assessment of eligibility for payments, and coordination of the deceased and funeral of Employees/Employees’ relatives.
This section is responsible for supervision, coordination, monitoring, and reporting on crosscutting administrative services to the SUA Community. The services under this section include administering and coordinating, general security matters, games and recreation, Gender Unit activities, special needs, vendors, space allocations, public rallies, spiritual services, and liaising on services offered by Chapels and Mosques within the University premises for the University Community. Other services that are coordinated under this Section include supervising sanitation matters (both sewer and refuse), water, streets, schools, food inspections, and managing.
The Directorate understands that Staff Capacity Building plays a vital role in enhancing teaching and research quality, and fostering professional development and career advancement.
